HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have straight fine flat hair and needed some life to it. I got a haircut and digital perm with Mako and I am obsessed. She was very thorough with her consultation so I knew I was in good hands. I’ve never loved my hair so much!! Mako did an amazing job and was very sweet. The salon is super cute as well!

Yuki (senior stylist) cut and styled my hair and he did a great job. He was very attentive in listening to what I wanted, thoughtful in his approach and instruments used, and respectful to always ask permission for each step. I felt thoroughly listened to and he had great skills to make the things we talked about come to life. I think it’s really important that the hair stylist be a good listener during the consult in order to execute the idea, and he did a fantastic job with both. Got lots of compliments already and will be happy to return next time. Convenient location near the new Trader Joe’s. *I was not asked or bribed to write this review, I did it on my own because they deserve credit for their quality services.

My senior stylist did a really great job on my fine dry hair. I didn’t even recognize myself when I left the salon! Lol. I had bangs cut and Japanese straightening done to them so they don’t frizz how as happens with my mixed race hair. Highly recommend this place. Pretty much find that the Japanese salons in the city are the greatest for haircuts and styling.

Had my first haircut by Lisa today and she did an amazing job! She took her time with me to discuss what I wanted and I showed her a few pictures of the long layered haircut with face framing I was hoping for. She was very kind and patient with my very long and tangly hair and she recreated my picture perfectly. She took her time making sure all sides of the haircut were even and that the haircut was perfect. She is very talented and I highly recommend Lisa for those looking for the long layered style haircuts!

I’m so glad I did my research and found this place! I’ve been doing keratin/protein hair treatments for the past 8 years. I was looking for a place to straighten my roots and found this salon. The owner, Tatsuya, did my hair and he was beyond amazing. I told him that I had a sensitive scalp and had bad experiences before. He listened to everything I said and was more than I asked for. He was super gentle and caring, it almost felt like a 3-hour head massage. I brought my laptop to work and he was extremely respectful of that. I am so happy I found this amazing salon and I recommend everyone to come here!

I have been coming to T-Gardens for digital perms for the past 3 years. Mako is my stylist, and she is an absolute artist. I have super straight hair and her digital perms last a year for me. I get so many compliments on my hair, and it’s so easy to maintain. It honestly looks like I get my hair professionally done every day now. Plus, Mako is so kind and sweet and the salon is very peaceful and relaxing. Their online booking system is also very easy to use, and they have a fun blog they send out in their newsletter.

Paid $130 for a head spa and a cut with yuki. He asked me during the haircut: how much layering would you like… I was rather confused by the question. Look at the haircut in picture :/ And when it came to cutting curtain bangs, he didn’t seem like he knew what to do. It was not worth the price and will not be back for another cut again. The whole experience was very boring and uncomfortable. Do not recommend…
